In my synagogue, much like I believe in many others, we all stand at attention when the rabbi or chazzan recites the blessing of Sefirat HaOmer. Following this, they proceed to count the Omer. However, this practice raises a question. How can we recite the blessing afterwards when we have already clearly heard it before? This implies that we were already yotzei with it.
