Harris Campaign's Misinformation Tactics Exposed: The Case of JD Vance's "Fact Of Life" Statement

Harris Campaign's Misinformation Tactics Exposed: The Case of JD Vance's "Fact Of Life" Statement'Fact Of Life' - Harris Campaign Uses Misinformation Against Vance, Utilizing Deleted AP Propaganda The Harris campaign's honeymoon period seems to be over... Even CNN has acknowledged that the situation isn't as bright as the orchestrated excitement surrounding Kamala's 'second coming' might suggest. As a result, the Harris campaign has turned to the Democratic Party's tried-and-true strategy of spreading disinformation. This small-scale campaign, as is often the case, was initiated with the help of mainstream media. The Associated Press, in this instance, released a story implying that JD Vance, Trump's running mate, views school shootings as a "fact of life". That sounds rather heartless, doesn't it? Perfect. However, the context has been entirely (and seemingly deliberately) omitted. Fortunately, in the United States (unlike Brazil), we still have X and its community of liberty-loving noters who quickly debunked AP's narrative... Vance's full statement was as follows: "I don’t like that this is a fact of life." This seems reasonable - who would 'like' that? Moreover, Vance advocated for increased security: "But if you are a psycho and you want to make headlines, you realize that our schools are soft targets. And we have got to bolster security at our schools. We’ve got to bolster security, so if a psycho wants to walk through the front door and kill a bunch of children, they’re not able ." This is a logical, common-sense approach to dealing with society's 'psychos'. After the 'Community Note', AP deleted the post on X and added 'context'... However, this didn't stop the Harris campaign from jumping on the fake news bandwagon. They issued a statement condemning Vance's out-of-context remark as heartless, while simultaneously claiming that a vote for Harris is a vote to protect your children from crime (one might ask why she didn't 'protect children from crime' during her previous four years in office?) You can watch Vance's full comments here (and form your own opinion)... The actual statement is far from what he was accused of saying. — Greg Price (@greg_price11) September 6, 2024 Perhaps the AP should consider a rebranding - Always Propaganda? Bottom Line This situation raises questions about the role of media in shaping public opinion and the extent to which political campaigns should rely on potentially misleading narratives. It's a reminder that context is crucial and that it's always important to seek out the full story. What are your thoughts on this issue?
