Kamala Harris' Struggles in Pre-Taped Interview: A Recap
Kamala Harris Fumbles in Pre-Taped Interview Alongside Tim Walz
Kamala Harris had a simple task at hand - to ace her first sit-down interview with the media. The expectation was for her to avoid any convoluted answers, refrain from using her usual 'unburdened by what has been' mantra, and not to resort to laughter as a cover-up for any lack of knowledge.
However, it seems she failed to meet these expectations...
In a pre-recorded CNN interview alongside running mate Tim Walz, set to air at 9PM Thursday, a preview clip suggests that she struggled to answer the questions effectively.
Interviewer Dana Bash, whose former CIA husband signed the Hunter Biden disinformation letter, posed what should have been an easy question for Harris, asking her how voters should interpret the changes she's made in her political stance.
Bash asked, "Is it because you have more experience now and you’ve learned more about the information? Is it because you were running for president in a Democratic primary? And should they feel comfortable and confident that what you’re saying now is going to be your policy moving forward?"
This question essentially asked Harris to explain her shift in positions towards more moderate policies and why voters should trust her despite these changes.
There were countless ways Harris could have responded to this question, but her answer was somewhat confusing.
"I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed," she said. "You mentioned the Green New Deal. I have always believed – and I have worked on it – that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time."
The reactions to her interview were mixed, with some viewers expressing their disappointment and others finding humor in the situation.
One viewer commented, "An 18-minute interview with an emotional support Governor.....That's beyond pathetic!" while another said, "So she's saying that her values haven't changed, just her policies now. Kamala is a chameleon and a fraud."
The upcoming debate on the 10th is eagerly anticipated, with viewers expecting it to be entertaining, to say the least.
Bottom Line
The way Kamala Harris handled her first sit-down interview has sparked a variety of reactions. Some viewers were disappointed with her performance, while others found humor in her responses. It will be interesting to see how she performs in the upcoming debate. What are your thoughts on this? Share this article with your friends and let us know your opinions.
