The Decline of the Green New Deal: Unveiling the Truth Behind Climate Alarmism

The Decline of the Green New Deal: Unveiling the Truth Behind Climate AlarmismThe Decline of the Green New Deal The majority of the so-called elites are known to be advocates of climate alarmism and supporters of the Green New Deal. The reasons for their support vary from a lack of understanding of the science, ideological zeal, a deliberate desire to hinder American growth, or simply greed due to their investments in Green New Deal infrastructure. The typical high-income climate cult supporter, including academics, media figures, and celebrities, is likely unaware that there is no evidence that CO2 emissions cause climate change. The real causes are natural phenomena such as solar cycles, volcanoes, ocean currents, and atmospheric moisture not caused by humans.

Climate Alarmists Misunderstand the Cause and Effect

The historical record shows that warming periods result in higher CO2 levels, not the other way around. CO2 doesn't cause warming; it's a consequence of natural warming. This means that climate alarmists have misunderstood the cause and effect relationship. Climate alarmism relies heavily on computer models, the accuracy of which depends on the inputs and assumptions programmed into them by the modelers. Almost all of these models have overestimated warming, sometimes significantly, because they're based on faulty assumptions that exaggerate the impact of CO2 on climate. In essence, it's flawed science. Yet, these models continue to be used because they serve a political agenda.

Climate: A Tool for Neo-Marxists

There's no denying that a significant number of neo-Marxists embrace the climate agenda because they know it damages U.S. industry, increases costs to U.S. consumers, and undermines the U.S. economy. After the end of the Cold War and the collapse of communism, anti-capitalist collectivists admitted that they needed to promote the climate agenda. The only way to combat global warming is through collective action, which requires a coordinated global effort that limits national sovereignty.

The True "Green" in the Green Agenda

Early investors in windmills, solar modules, lithium car batteries, electric vehicles (EVs), charging stations, carbon credits, and other climate-related infrastructure stand to make billions of dollars from the narrative, thanks to generous government subsidies. They're not concerned about the eventual collapse of the system (which is inevitable) as long as they can profit at the expense of taxpayers in the meantime. The extent to which the Green New Deal advocates are doing this with public money is less clear.

The Electric Vehicle Illusion

A significant part of the climate agenda involves electric vehicles (EVs). Despite the high price tags, EVs are not a feasible transportation solution for the majority of Americans and are essentially glorified golf carts. EVs don't actually reduce carbon emissions. While the vehicles themselves don't emit carbon, they are charged with electricity from power plants that do. The batteries are made with harmful chemicals and metals, including lithium, cobalt, copper, and nickel, which are obtained from mining operations that use vast amounts of water and electricity.

Reconsidering the Internal Combustion Engine

A recent survey by consulting firm McKinsey and Co. revealed that 29% of EV owners in nine major economies want to switch back to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. In the U.S. alone, 46% of those surveyed want to return to ICEs. The reasons for this shift in preference include the high cost of EVs, concerns about charging, and worries about the limited driving range. The EV, invented in 1837, reached its peak popularity in 1910, just before the mass production of ICE cars by Henry Ford. It seems the American public is once again favoring the reliability of the Model T over the false promise of the EV.

Bottom Line

The Green New Deal appears to be falling apart. This can't happen soon enough, as the deal's promises are proving to be more detrimental than beneficial. What are your thoughts on this matter?
