The Democrats' Strategy to Revive Higher Education Indoctrination: Implications and Consequences

The Democrats' Strategy to Revive Higher Education Indoctrination: Implications and ConsequencesThe Democrats' Strategy to Revive the Higher Education Indoctrination Industrial Complex The Democratic party's relentless pursuit of power is seemingly insatiable. This is evident in their support for open borders with quick paths to citizenship, undermining the electoral process with mail-in voting, and plans to re-write the Constitution. The Democratic party's 2024 party platform includes a section titled "Making Higher Education Accessible and Affordable", which aims to promote political indoctrination and reward one of the party’s most vital allies, college professors.

The Role of Higher Education in Political Indoctrination

Higher education institutions today are largely used as tools to push students towards left-leaning ideologies. Even students majoring in subjects like physics are required to take courses in the humanities and social sciences, where they are taught about America's history of slavery, land theft from indigenous people, and ongoing oppression of women by the white patriarchy. This approach appears to be effective. In the 2020 presidential election, 56% of college graduates favored Biden over Trump, who received 42% of the vote. Conversely, those with a high school education or less favored Trump 56% to 41%. This shift in voting patterns among college graduates is a significant event in American electoral history, and it can be attributed to the indoctrination efforts of college professors.

The Decline of Higher Education

However, the Democrats' pool of supporters may be shrinking as higher education itself is in decline. From 2010 to 2021, college enrollment dropped by 15%. Additionally, 99 colleges have closed their doors. As the population shifts from the Northeast to the South, many small colleges are struggling to survive. Furthermore, the value of a college degree is increasingly being questioned. This decline has been partially offset by cutting programs and administrative overheads. For example, two public universities in North Carolina have eliminated over a dozen programs, and Stanford University has terminated 23 positions in its popular creative writing program.

The Democrats' Plan for Higher Education

In response to these challenges, the Democrats have proposed measures to restore the higher education indoctrination industrial complex. Their 2024 party platform outlines a vision that emphasizes the government's responsibility to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, can receive a world-class education. The platform proposes that everyone should earn a degree beyond high school, with tuition-free education for families earning less than $125,000 yearly. Federal financial aid will be provided to the 107 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) that predominantly serve black students. If these measures fail to revitalize struggling colleges, the Democrats plan to make the United States more welcoming to international students. Funding will also be provided for child care, textbooks, and programs to combat food insecurity for low-income students.

Student Debt and Loan Forgiveness

The issue of student debt will also be addressed. After 20 years, all college debt will be forgiven for those earning less than $125,000. This policy will also apply to all students who have attended HBCUs. Unlike current policy, this debt will also be dischargeable with bankruptcy. However, the increase in Pell Grants, especially for under-represented groups, may lead to an increase in student debt, as these grants may be treated as loans that must be repaid.

The Potential Consequences

While this ambitious plan may rescue countless colleges from bankruptcy and re-energize the Left's indoctrination campaign, it may also lead to a surge of academically weak students, inviting academic disasters. This was the case with the City College of New York City (CCNY), which adopted an "open admission" policy that admitted many under-prepared students. Despite significant resources allocated to remedial education, the policy was ultimately deemed a failure.

Bottom Line

The Democrats' plan to expand American higher education is driven by their insatiable appetite for political power. This pursuit of power, akin to a compulsive eater's endless craving, may lead to detrimental consequences for American higher education. What are your thoughts on this matter?
