The Power of the "Influential Classes"
A quote from mid-19th-century author Nathaniel Hawthorne, referencing the Salem witchcraft trials of 1692, serves as a stark reminder of the susceptibility of the influential classes to mob mentality and error. Hawthorne's words reveal two enduring truths: 1) Human nature, despite advancements in technology and education, remains prone to the same mistakes, and 2) Those in positions of power often have a propensity to misuse it.
This notion was dramatically illustrated in the Stanford Prison Experiment conducted by psychologist Philip Zimbardo in 1971. The experiment, designed to study human behavior in a simulated prison environment, quickly spiraled out of control. Despite all participants knowing it was a simulation, those assigned as "guards" began to behave authoritatively and abusively, while those designated as "prisoners" became passive and obedient. The experiment had to be terminated after just six days due to escalating cruelty.
The Danger of Silence in the Face of Oppression
The question then arises, "How do we protect ourselves against influential people who abuse their power?" The answer is multifaceted, but it begins with people willing to expose and resist tyranny at its onset and continues with laws and rules that prevent tyranny from taking root.
The Founders of the United States, having experienced the arbitrary rule of monarchs, designed a system of government where people dictate to the government, not the other way around. This system has led to the most freedom and prosperity for the greatest number of people in the history of the world. However, it has also bred a dangerous complacency. Many citizens in the Western world take their freedom for granted, assuming it to be the natural state of humankind, rather than a historical exception.
The Threat of the Elites
Today, the threat to our freedom comes not only from government officials but also from unelected multibillionaires, heads of NGOs, and leaders of international organizations. These self-appointed rulers, confident in their wealth, education, and connections, are not even attempting to hide their plans. They advocate for restrictions on free speech and promote misinformation under the guise of public safety and societal improvement.
The first casualty of tyranny is freedom of speech. As GB News reporter Bev Turner aptly states, "Whenever governments try to control the online world, every road leads to the suppression of free speech."
Do Not Suspend Your Own Judgment
The Covid-19 pandemic response served as a turning point in a destructive movement embracing anti-freedom trends. It's crucial to recognize and address the collective abuse and discrimination that occurred during this period. History shows that keeping your head down to avoid trouble is not a good long-term strategy when dealing with would-be tyrants.
"Without Responsibility Even to God"
The influential classes of today seem to have lost sight of the intrinsic value of each human being. Instead, they view humans as a resource for biological data and as hackable bioengineered products. There are multiple international organizations intent on restructuring human life as we know it, for the "greater good."
The Elites Merge the WEF, U.N., and G20
At the May 2022 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme Achin Steiner said, "Our future is digital. If you're not part of it, you're out of it." This statement exemplifies an elitist view that they know what's best for everyone else.
Combining Our Efforts to Prevent Dystopia
While it may seem overwhelming to confront the vast national and global forces intent on restructuring our lives, each of us has the power to resist. It starts with educating ourselves and speaking up when we feel that something isn't right.
Bottom Line
In evaluating the past five years, we must learn from the lessons of history. The right to self-determination is at stake as those who govern and those who have taken upon themselves to be unelected leaders of humanity, abuse power while attempting to mold the world into their dystopian view of the future.
We are under attack, but we don't have to comply with the elites' globalist agendas. We can choose to defend our families, faith, and freedom. It starts by speaking up and pushing back as we encounter anti-human, anti-freedom agendas in our own communities and countries.
