Visual Capitalist's Bruno Venditti has compiled a list of the top 15 U.S. companies to work for in 2024, based on data from LinkedIn.

Methodology

LinkedIn's rankings were determined by eight factors: career advancement opportunities, skills development, company stability, external opportunities, company affinity, gender diversity, educational background, and the company's presence in the country. To qualify for the list, companies needed to have a minimum of 5,000 global employees, and at least 500 employees in the U.S. as of December 31, 2023.

Financial institutions were prominent in the ranking of the best U.S. companies to work for in 2024, with JP Morgan Chase & Co. taking the top spot. The company offers a program that provides opportunities for candidates without a university degree. In 2022, 75% of job descriptions at the bank for experienced hires did not require a college degree.

Companies Offering Free Training and Employee Benefits

Companies like Deloitte and Amazon provide a range of free training courses, including ones in AI. Moderna, on the other hand, offers an employee benefits package designed to prevent employee burnout, featuring subsidized commuter expenses, pop-up daycare centers, and wellness coaches.

Flexible Work Options

Mastercard is another company that made the list, offering flexible work arrangements, with 11.5% of roles being remote and 89% offering hybrid options.

Notable Inclusions and Exclusions

Interestingly, only Amazon and Alphabet from the 'Magnificent Seven' companies (Apple, Microsoft, Google parent Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia, Meta Platforms, and Tesla) made the list.
