Don Lemon Defends His Stance on Covid Vaccines and Masks
Don Lemon's Appearance on the "Fullsend Podcast"
Don Lemon, a former CNN anchor, recently appeared on the "Fullsend Podcast". During his appearance, he reaffirmed his support for Covid vaccinations and mask mandates, views he had previously shared with millions of Americans during the pandemic.
When asked about the changing views of people like Chris Cuomo on the effectiveness of Covid vaccines and drugs such as ivermectin, Lemon responded, "This whole argument about vaccines is a little weird to me because I think people are Monday morning quarterbacking."
Lemon's Defense of Vaccine and Mask Mandates
Lemon went on to defend those who promoted the vaccines, saying, "This was a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic and people didn't know. I think we have to give the people who were in charge, including the Trump administration, a little grace because nobody knew how to deal with this." He further stated that health officials and politicians were doing what they thought was best to save the most people.
However, it is important to note that many medical experts, alternative media outlets, and some politicians were aware of the potential risks associated with mRNA vaccines, the limited protection offered by masks, and the benefits of drugs like ivermectin during the pandemic. It is also known that the government worked with social media companies to suppress information about these issues during the pandemic.
Lemon's Views on Those Who Refused Vaccines and Masks
Lemon suggested that those who refused to wear masks or get vaccinated were being "selfish", despite the fact that their concerns have since been validated. He argued that instead of being selfish, they should have been doing what was best for the community.
He also defended his support for mask mandates, stating, "I'm not gonna say, 'Masks are stupid,' because I'm not selfish. So, I think that people who were questioning the use of masks, even in the moment, were being a bit selfish."
Despite Lemon's claims, numerous studies have shown that masks are not only ineffective at preventing the transmission of COVID-19, but can also pose health risks to the wearer.
Lemon's Faith in Medicine, Science, and Government
Lemon expressed his faith in medicine, science, and the government, stating, "So, I believe in medicine, I believe in science and I believe that my government is looking out for and trying to do the best for me."
When one of the podcast hosts pointed out that the media was demonizing people who chose not to get vaccinated, Lemon denied that the media was shaming people. However, he went on to criticize those who refused to get vaccinated, stating, "I don't know if the media was shaming people, I think people were being selfish. If you don't want to get the vaccine, don't get the vaccine, but don't expect to be able to do and go places..."
Don Lemon's Employer's Stance on Vaccinations
It's worth noting that during the pandemic, CNN, Lemon's employer, dismissed three employees for refusing to get vaccinated.
