Mayor Eric Adams Proposes Employment Opportunities for Illegal Immigrants

Illegal Immigrants as Lifeguards

At a press conference held at New York City Hall on Tuesday, Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, proposed that illegal immigrants should be considered for lifeguard positions. He reasoned that many of these individuals are excellent swimmers and could help to address the city's shortage of lifeguards. "How do we have a large body of people that are in our city and country that are excellent swimmers and at the same time we need lifeguards? And, the only obstacle is that we won’t give them the right to work to become a lifeguard," Adams queried.

Mayor's Tweet on the Topic

Mayor Adams' proposal was shared on Twitter by Greg Price, who posted a clip of the mayor's statement. The tweet read: "Mayor Adams says illegal aliens could be used to fill New York City's lifeguard shortage because they are 'excellent swimmers.'"

Fast-Tracking Illegal Immigrants into Nursing Roles

Adams also suggested that illegal immigrants claiming to have nursing experience should be fast-tracked into hospital positions. This, he believes, could help to address the city's ongoing nursing shortage. "If we had a plan that said, 'If there was a shortage of food service workers and those who fit that criteria, we’re going to expedite you,’ if you have experience that you are a nurse and we have nursing shortage, we would expedite you," he explained.

Concerns About the Great Replacement Initiative

These proposals are seen by some as part of the broader implications of the United Nations' Great Replacement initiative. This initiative is perceived by some as flooding Western nations in Europe and North America with citizens from Third World countries, leading to a planned societal collapse. There is a fear that U.S. citizens, regardless of their race, religion, or political affiliation, are at risk of being overwhelmed by the influx of foreign individuals being intentionally brought into the country.
