Media Deceptions and Political Agendas: A Decade of Controversies
The Public's Fatigue from Media Untruths
This piece discusses the public's exhaustion from a decade of perceived untruths from the left-wing and its media. The 2016 presidential campaign, for instance, is infamous for the false allegation that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to influence the election. This claim was based on the discredited "Steele dossier," and was propagated by Hillary Clinton and other Democrat figures, who labeled Trump as an "illegitimate" president.
The Appointment of Robert Mueller
In response to these allegations, the left and media advocated for the appointment of special prosecutor Robert Mueller. Mueller assembled a team of partisan prosecutors to investigate the supposed Trump-Russian collusion. However, after 22 months, Mueller found no evidence that Trump had won the 2016 election with the help of colluding Russians.
The Impeachment of Donald Trump
In December 2019, Trump was impeached amidst claims that he had pressured the Ukrainian government to investigate Joe Biden's family for its alleged corruption with Ukrainian oligarchs. This was supposedly a condition for releasing military aid to Kyiv. However, it was revealed that Hunter Biden was paid almost $1 million a year by a Ukrainian energy company to enlist his father, Vice President Joe Biden, for quid pro quo services. Joe Biden later admitted to pressuring Ukraine to fire its prosecutor, Victor Shokin, who was investigating the Biden family's questionable activities.
The Hunter Biden Laptop Incident
On the eve of the first 2020 debate, Antony Blinken, a Biden aide and now Secretary of State, gathered "51 former intelligence authorities" to falsely claim that Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, which contained incriminating evidence of the Biden family's actions, was a fabrication by the Russians. However, the FBI had the laptop and had verified its authenticity. The FBI also actively worked with Silicon Valley social media companies to suppress accurate news accounts of the laptop’s contents, ostensibly to aid the Biden campaign.
The Withdrawal from Afghanistan
In the summer of 2021, top military officials publicly supported the Biden administration’s claim that it was safe to abruptly withdraw all troops from Afghanistan. However, many intelligence officials had warned that such a reckless withdrawal would lead to the collapse of Afghanistan and provide terrorists with a windfall of equipment and infrastructure. Despite these warnings, the withdrawal proceeded, resulting in the needless deaths of thirteen American Marines.
The Legal Challenges Faced by Donald Trump
For the first time in history, a presidential candidate, Donald Trump, faced numerous criminal and civil suits in an election year. Yet, the media, which had previously shown a keen interest in collusion, ignored these legal challenges and the apparent collusion involved.
The Media's Portrayal of Joe Biden
Throughout the 2020 Democratic primaries, the general election, and the first three years of the Biden administration, it was evident that Joe Biden was physically and mentally incapable of serving as president. Despite this, his aides and the media misled the American people, insisting that Biden was vigorous and sharp. However, in June 2024, these same insiders declared Biden unfit to continue as the Democratic nominee due to his declining mental health and poor polling numbers.
The Bottom Line
In conclusion, for nearly a decade, the media and the left have been accused of feeding the public a series of deceptions and conspiracies. They justified these actions by claiming that Donald Trump was too dangerous to be president. However, these actions have allegedly damaged democracy, ruined the reputation of the media, alienated the public, and embarrassed the country on a global scale. What are your thoughts on this issue?
