The Popularity of Non-Alcoholic Beer
Despite the continued popularity of alcoholic beer, non-alcoholic variants have begun to carve out their own niche in global markets.
In a chart presented by Anna Fleck from Statista, it was shown that approximately one in five individuals in Spain regularly consume non-alcoholic beer, as per a survey conducted by Statista Consumer Insights.
The Spanish population also displayed a significant inclination towards alcoholic beer, with 51% of the survey respondents admitting to frequent consumption.
In contrast, the United States presented a different picture. A smaller percentage of the population, only 22%, claimed to be regular beer drinkers, and a mere 5% opted for the non-alcoholic version.
Interestingly, in the U.S., a larger proportion of people consume energy drinks (27%) compared to beer (22%), wine (21%), or spirits (18%).
##Bottom Line
The global beverage market is diverse and constantly evolving. The rise of non-alcoholic beer, particularly in Spain, is a testament to this. However, in the United States, the trend seems to lean more towards energy drinks. This divergence in beverage preferences across different regions is intriguing.
