Trump Promotes Posts on Truth Social Advocating for the Imprisonment of Top Politicians
Trump's Call for Justice
Former President Donald Trump has been seen escalating his promises to bring justice to the so-called Deep State over the past weekend. He shared posts on Truth Social, a social media platform, that suggested the idea of "televised military tribals" and advocated for the imprisonment of high-ranking politicians from both Democratic and Republican parties.
Political Enemies Targeted
Trump promoted a series of posts from other users on the platform that demanded the imprisonment of his political rivals. These include members of the House January 6 Committee and those who have received support from George Soros, a billionaire with leftist leanings.
One of the posts stated, "Elizabeth Lynne Cheney is guilty of treason," and encouraged others to share the post if they supported the idea of televised military tribunals.
Top Figures Named
Another post demanded the imprisonment of 15 top figures from the Democratic and Republican parties, arguing that these individuals should be facing jail time instead of Steve Bannon. The list of individuals included President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Senators Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer, former Vice President Mike Pence, and Representative Nancy Pelosi. Other politicians from the J6 Committee, such as Representatives Adam Schiff, Jamie Raskin, and former Representative Adam Kizinger, were also named.
Additional Figures Targeted
A third post called for the arrest of George Soros and several far-left politicians that he has financially supported. Some of the figures named in the post who were not previously mentioned include former President Barack Obama, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, former President Bill Clinton, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and Governors Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer.
Supreme Court Ruling
These posts come just a day before the Supreme Court issued a 6-3 ruling stating that former presidents are completely immune from prosecution for any official presidential acts. However, they do not have immunity for any unofficial acts.
Responses from Biden and Cheney
The Biden campaign responded to these posts by condemning them in a statement to the New York Times. They claimed that Trump is threatening democracy and that the Supreme Court has enabled him to do exactly what he has been saying he will do if he wins the election.
Liz Cheney also responded to the posts, stating, "Donald — This is the type of thing that demonstrates yet again that you are not a stable adult — and are not fit for office."
Establishment in Panic
The establishment appears to be in a state of panic over the possibility that Trump could dismantle the Deep State, as clarified by the Supreme Court, if he is elected in November.
