Unmasking the Deception Behind "Pandemic Preparedness"
Introduction
This piece is a collaborative effort between Clayton J. Baker, MD, Brian Hooker, PhD, and Heather Ray. The trio aims to expose the fallacy behind "Pandemic Preparedness" and the gain-of-function research that supports it.
Biological Weapons Convention and Gain-of-Function Research
The Biological Weapons Convention, endorsed by all major nations, forbids the development, production, acquisition, transfer, and use of biological and toxin weapons. Consequently, gain-of-function research, which involves modifying naturally occurring viruses and pathogens to make them more transmissible and dangerous to humans, must be justified as something other than its actual nature – the creation of biological weapons and their countermeasures.
The Grand Deception
The justification for gain-of-function research is often framed as follows: "We need to modify pathogens in the lab to anticipate potential natural mutations and to facilitate the production of vaccines to protect humanity from these hypothetical superbugs." However, there is no valid reason to create superbugs in a laboratory. The complexity of science often leads to confusion, especially when experts are intentionally misleading. This has allowed the deception to persist for decades, leading to the growth of a vast, profitable, and frankly scary pandemic preparedness industry involving governments, non-governmental organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and universities.
Monkeypox: The Smoking Gun
To debunk a long-standing lie, one often needs clear and undeniable evidence, or a "smoking gun". In the case of the deception surrounding gain-of-function research and the pandemic preparedness industry, monkeypox serves as this smoking gun.
Monkeypox Returns
In 2024, monkeypox virus re-emerged in the news as one of the top candidates for the so-called "Disease X" that the World Health Organization has been warning about. Understanding the peculiar history of monkeypox in the US and the virus's natural characteristics reveals the deception used to justify gain-of-function research and the entire "pandemic preparedness" industry.
Monkeypox in America
In 2003, 35 people in six US states were infected with the monkeypox virus due to the importation of exotic pets. Instead of prompting a reasonable response, such as increased precautions regarding the exotic animal trade, this incident led to dangerous research aimed at identifying a strain of monkeypox that could be easily transmitted to humans through aerosol transmission.
Monkeypox: A Slow-Moving Virus
The monkeypox virus is a peculiar choice for manipulation. Unlike small, simple, rapidly mutating RNA respiratory viruses like Influenza viruses or coronaviruses, monkeypox is a slow-moving, large virus. It does not transmit through the airborne route but through close contact.
Monkeypox's Impact on Humans
Naturally occurring monkeypox is much less deadly to humans than often advertised. There are many other health threats that deserve more attention, funding, and effort. For example, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where monkeypox is endemic, about eighty times more people die of malaria than of monkeypox.
Fauci and His Team's Actions
In 2015, Anthony Fauci's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) covertly approved a risky gain-of-function experiment that would genetically alter the monkeypox virus to create a more virulent and transmissible pathogen that could potentially pose a significant threat to humans.
Summary
In nature, monkeypox is a relatively rare, usually mild viral illness transmitted through close contact. The only plausible reason to conduct gain-of-function research on such a pathogen is to create a bioweapon and to also create and profit from its countermeasure – a proprietary vaccine.
Bottom Line
The concept of pandemic preparedness is a grand deception. The case of monkeypox serves as strong evidence of this deception. It's time to put an end to all gain-of-function research and the false excuse of pandemic preparedness for illegal bioweapons research. What are your thoughts on this matter?
